Welcome to George's Table!
This site is Chef George's virtual table where information is shared about living well through both diet and domicile.
A kitchen table is the heart of a home, a hub of activity where food is prepared, shared and enjoyed. Often, family life revolves around this part of a home. In the kitchen, Chef George’s vegetarian cuisine is a full flavored introduction to great cultures of the world.
In home design, kitchens have long been recognized as one of the most important features in a home and a functional kitchen table area is a key contributor to domestic happiness. A healthy balance between lifestyle, home and diet creates a dynamic synergy for joyful living.

Eatable...When well prepared and presented, the meal is a powerful medium that indulges the senses. The food can take the body, mind and spirit on a journey to distant, exotic lands or, can be close to home and comforting. It can satisfy our most basic desires and inspire romance and creativity. The meal can be an intimate theatrical extravaganza of the senses that settles the body and mind. Ultimately it soothes the soul too, becoming a memorable event to draw upon for inspiration.

Livable...Food and shelter...Together, these basic necesities are the source of many simple pleasures in life. George Vutetakis and his wife Sara Hill also create traditionally inspired living spaces for organic influenced lifestyles.

Readable...Documenting the cooking process...Chef George writes "The meal can be elaborate, with everything thought of and in its place at the right time. More often, the beauty of the well prepared meal lies in the art of simplicity. Each flavor and texture speaks to the palate. The aroma, sight, touch, taste and sizzle come together in a harmonious symphony where every note and instrument is distinct."

To cook is to discover. As food is prepared, we see, touch, smell, taste and listen. The senses are enveloped in the world of food each meal is a journey of experiences. Sharing this is one of the simple joys in life. This section of our site is dedicated to culinary discovery.

Historical restoration and building period style homes can be compared to preparing and serving a meal. When cooking for friends and guests, a large part of the experience is enjoying their appreciation of the food. When George and Sara build a home, a similar creative effort is made; and when it sells, much of the satisfaction comes from seeing the buyer enjoy it.
